Sources of caregiver anxiety can come in diverse ways. Anyone that opt for caregiving jobs is bound to experience shift in routine and priorities. There will also be a shift in all the areas of his life including spending, and personal relationships.

Other Sources of Caregiver Anxiety

There are absolutely other sources of caregiver anxiety. A caregiver who take the responsibility of taking care of a parent, or a family member is bound to experience stress. Let’s take a look at these other sources.

1. Lack of recovery time

In caregiving, or as a full time caregiver, there’s often no room to engaging in some life-enriching activities. There’s often no room for vacation, a leave, relaxation, or even performing hobbies.

This can reduce the effectiveness of caregiver’s work, and therefore leads to complains from the elderly or loved ones.

2. Disconnectedness

Another hidden source of caregiver anxiety is disconnectedness. when you are taking care of an elderly or a disabled person, you will need to give your full attention. This might hinder you from making out with your children, spouses, and friends, which may lead to loneliness and isolation.

When there’s no one to relate with, or even share relational thoughts with, it might  lead to depression or anxiety.

3. Financial pressure

Pressure from finances is also one of the major hidden sources of caregiver anxiety. Caregivers also have family they care about, it may be their children, or anybody. Caregivers might want to help their loved ones to lift their financial burden, or assist them with their daily activities.

However, caring for loved ones requires a solid financial investment, which may require them to leave their job. If the person in need of care does not have insurance covering these needs, it may lead to financial stress.

4. Lack of appreciation

Caregiving is a profession that requires motivation to get going. However, if a caregiver is not appreciated, and get blamed everytime, it may lead to emotional stress. Caregiver that receives a lot of encouragement on a daily basis will always want to deliver.
