Care At Heart covid guidelines

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidelines

Some people are at a higher risk of being really ill as a result of an infection, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). COVID-19 is particularly hazardous to the elderly and those with serious chronic medical conditions or low immune.

Many home care clients are susceptible to the disease due to their age and/or health conditions. As a result, it is critical that you take steps to lower your chance of contracting the disease, as well as the danger of your loved ones contracting it.

Safety Covid-19 Guidelines

To ensure proper illness prevention, we have directed all caregivers and personnel to follow improved covid-19 guidelines. These are some of them:

  • As far as possible, avoid touching surfaces with your hands or other things. Doorknobs, elevator buttons, restroom surfaces, tables or menus, and other objects fall under this category.
  • As much as possible, avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Hands should be washed with soap and water on a frequent basis. This must happen for a minimum of 20 seconds at a time. If soap isn’t available, use hand sanitizer instead.
  • Keeping a safe distance from unwell people is essential.
  • When you are sick or suspect you are sick, you must stay at home.
  • Using a tissue, cover your sneeze or cough. After that, toss the tissue in the garbage. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your arm rather than your hands. Then, as soon as possible, disinfect and clean the area.
  • Disinfect and clean any commonly touched objects or surfaces. Use a cleaning wipe or a household cleaning spray to remove the dirt.
  • Keep a safe distance from any crowds. This is especially true indoors or in settings with poor or insufficient ventilation. If there are persons in the crowd who are infected or sick, your chance of contracting COVID-19 increases in a crowded, closed-in place with little or no air movement.
  • Only travel if it is absolutely necessary. This includes train, bus, and airplane travel. If you must utilize public transit, try to avoid social separation and other preventative measures as much as possible.
  • Each of our caregivers must clean commonly used or touched surfaces on a daily basis, if not more frequently. Countertops, doorknobs, workplaces, and any other surfaces that come into regular contact fall under this category.
